47th ANNUAL GREEK HOLIDAY FESTIVAL

Date: Thursday through Saturday, September 18-20, 2008.

Time: Thursday 11:00 am to 9:00 pm; Friday & Saturday 11:00 am to 10:00 pm.

Location:  Holy Trinity parish site--1222 South Guthrie (3 blocks west of 11th & Denver, south of Downtown Tulsa) [take Houston Ave. exit from Broken Arrow Expressway(west bound) Denver exit (eastbound). Map

Major Attractions: Tulsa's oldest ethnic festival includes authentic Greek food and pastries, music, dancing, imported gifts, ancient coins and fewelry, church tours and exhibits, and much more.

Dinner Menu: Chicken or pork souvlaki (shish-ka-bob) with tyropita (fillo cheese pie), Greek style green beans, Greek style rice, Greek salad, and pita bread. Dinner price is $12. Dinner not served between 2 and 5 pm on Thursday and Friday only.

Al-a-carte booths: Offering Lamb kabobs, Gyros sandwiches, large Greek salads, calamari, keftethes (Greek meatballs), and more.

Bakery: Wonderful pastries including homemade baklava, finikia, koulourakia, and galatobouriko. Also, visit our loukoumades (honey puffs) booth.

Dancing: Six authentically-costumed dance groups performing dances from throughout Greece.

Marketa: Imported Greek food and gifts (clothes, jewelry, Greek coffee, olive oil, Kalamata olives), new cookbook with recipes from Tulsa Greeks, and new Greek Holiday-t-shirt.

Lunch Special: Smaller size dinner plate offered Thursday and Friday (11:00 am to 2:00 pm) for only $7.

Admission: $2 each evening after 4:00pm. Individuals who pay the admission can enter the festival again at any time for no charge.  Customers with advanced tickets do not pay admission.
